Here Is How To Put An End to Age Spots Naturally (VIDEO)

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, age spots are formed due to prolonged exposure to the sun.

Sun rays tend to cause deposition of melanin at a localized area, which leads to the appearance of age spots.

Everyone hates age spots, especially age spots on the face! Well, the cosmetic industry loves them; just look at all the expensive creams and lotions on the shelves. Rich women used to bathe in milk to get rid of the spots. Age spots (“Solar lentigo”) are also known as liver spots. They often appear on fair-skinned people who spent too much time in the sun, suffering skin damage. However, the spots can appear on people of all skin types.

After 40, the skin is unable to regenerate as rapidly.

There are many clinical medications for treating age spots, but these can be harsh and contain chemicals that may be detrimental to your health in other ways. Fortunately, there are several home remedies for age spots, which certainly do a good job in eliminating the age spots. However, these spots take quite some time to form and thus, to erase them completely also takes time.

Let’s examine some of the home remedy options for eliminating these unsightly blemishes from your skin.

Home Remedies for Age Spots

Lemon Juice: Lemon Juice acts as a bleach and is a regular component of many bleaching creams. It should be applied at the age spots twice a day. According to the Doctors’ Book of Home Remedies, when this treatment is administered for six to eight weeks, the age spots will begin to disappear. Citric acid and its antioxidant, rejuvenating qualities, is what makes this remedy effective.

Onion and Apple Cider Vinegar: Blend an onion and drain it, with the help of a strainer, into a bowl. Mix an equal amount of apple cider vinegar to this and apply over the spots with a cotton swab dipped in this decoction. This has also shown improved results over the course of 5 to 6 months.

Castor Oil: Age spots can sometimes be rough in texture. If this is the case for you, apply castor oil twice a day for few months to see a distinct improvement in the appearance and texture of the spots.

Apple Cider Vinegar: A few drops of apple cider vinegar can be added to a glass of water and drunk. One can add honey to refine the taste. Also, you can put a few drops of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice directly to the spots to reduce their appearance or eliminate them entirely.

Aloe Vera Juice: Aloe Vera has been found to have tremendous potential in treating dermatological conditions like burns and scars. Gel or juice obtained from Aloe Vera can be directly rubbed on spotted regions to eliminate them. It stimulates the growth of new skin to replace old, dead cells. This can therefore, rejuvenate the appearance of your face and skin.

Olive Oil and Vinegar: A spoonful of vinegar and olive oil can be mixed and applied to the spots. This should then be washed off with water after half an hour. This is a useful home remedy for erasing age spots.

Orange Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar: 2 to 3 spoons of orange juice can be mixed in a half spoon of apple cider vinegar. This must be applied over the darkened regions for around a month, and will then begin to yield promising results.

Cumin Seed: Boil some cumin seeds in water, and then wash your face with that water, being careful not to rinse it with any cold water for 30 minutes after the initial wash. Cumin releases many of its essential oils when boiled, which is then applied directly to your face when you wash with the boiled water.

Garlic: Paste made of garlic has been observed to be efficient in treating age spots.

Yogurt Mask: Some people have found success by applying yogurt to the age spots. First, wash your face with warm water to open the pores and then pat dry, don’t wipe, since it irritates the pores. Then, apply a light mask of whole-milk yogurt to your face or other affected areas with age spots. Repeat this daily for two months for serious improvement in the appearance of your age spots!

Cucumber Juice: Applying cucumber juice to age spots seriously improves their appearance due to the bleaching properties of cucumber’s organic compounds.

Onion: You can rub a sliced onion on the affected areas in order to reduce the color of an age spot. The organic compounds in onions, including vitamin C in large quantities, act as natural skin lighteners!

Note: Skin discolorations that increase in size or become irregular should be checked by a physician.
