This Incredible Mixture Will Bring Your Damaged Hair Back To Life, Even If It Is Dyed! (Recipe)

Hair can get damaged easily, but it takes somewhat longer time to repair it.

Sun exposure, dying, bleaching, straightening, perming, and heat stress from curling irons and blow dryers can damage your hair over time. These processes dry out your hair, make it porous, brittle, dry, frizzy, dull and leave it prone to breakage and split ends. Those having fine hair are more likely to get their hair damaged.

This milk and honey mask is perfect for brittle, damaged hair that tends to be thin and easily weighed down by heavy conditioners and oil treatments.

Milk has long been known to not be just healthy for your body, but also healthy for your skin, your hair and even your eyes. Healthy hair begins from the inside out, so a diet rich in protein and antioxidants will help you to have shiny, healthy hair. Milk contains casein and whey, two important proteins for a healthy body (as long as you can tolerate dairy!) and healthy hair. Whey is often taken as a nutritional supplement to help build muscle mass, but applied topically, whey can also stimulate hair follicle growth.

Milk’s natural creaminess makes it an excellent conditioner for your hair. And it helps lock in the moisture, too. “Whole milk, which is thicker than skim milk, can be used as a natural way to heal dry, brittle hair,” Rivkah Cohen, a hair stylist in Baltimore, explained to From The Grapevine. “Just put it in a spray bottle, spray onto your hair, let it sit for at least 30 minutes and then wash as usual – you’ll get shiny, glossy hair.”

Interestingly, honey has some beneficial skin-care applications – it can help moisturize skin and, because of its medicinal and antimicrobial properties, can even help treat burns and other wounds.

For hair, it can also work wonders.

You need

  • 2 cups whole milk (use cream if you have super coarse hair or low-fat milk for fine hair)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 20 gr. of yeast (fresh)

Note: If you use low-fat milk, add a teaspoon of flour to thicken this mask

Mix well to get the honey to melt, and then carefully pour it over your hair making sure the most of it really ends up where it should.

Pour over dry hair, massaging into hair to ensure all strands are covered.

Place a shower cap over hair. Leave for 15-20 minutes. Shampoo as you normally would.

This wonderful pack won’t weight your hair down or make it greasy but give it wonderful, healthy shine and softness instead.
