The Ovarian cysts are sacs filled with fluid that usually form during ovulation. Problems such as endometriosis, pelvic infections, hormonal problems and even pregnancy can all be the cause ovarian cysts. Even though they are harmless, they can cause many unwanted problems such as bloating, pressure, pain and swelling in the lower abdomen area. They are not something a serious and life-threatening problem and they do disappear in few a few months, but during that period they may cause pain and discomfort.
1. CASTOR OIL PACK
The castor oil cleanses the body of the excess toxins and tissues while helping to stimulate the lymphatic circulatory systems that help dissolve the cysts.
Find a large flannel cloth and fold it two or three times, making sure that it will cover your entire abdomen area. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of castor oil on the cloth and fold it in half again in order to saturate it. Then, unfold the cloth, find a comfortable laying position and put the cloth on your abdomen area. The castor oil needs to be covered with plastic and then with an old towel. On top of the cloth, place a hot water bottle and cover yourself with a blanket. Stay like this for about 30 minutes, leaving the castor oil to do its job and you will be relieved of any kind of pain.
Repeat this process three times a week for about three months.
2. CHAMOMILE TEA
The chamomile tea is widely known around the world for its amazing healing properties. It is used to relieve coughs, stomach aches, and even ovarian cysts. It has an effect that promotes relaxation and it helps regulate cases of irregular periods by serving as a stimulant for better blood low in the pelvic area and in the uterus.
Get 2 tablespoons of dried chamomile and mix them in hot water. Cover the mix for about 5 minutes then strain it. For additional effect add a tablespoon of honey and then drink the whole tea. Drink this tea 2-3 times a day to reduce any pain or discomfort.
Heat relaxes the muscles and it prevents muscle cramps in the abdomen area that can sometimes be caused by ovarian cysts. For a quick relief of pain in the abdomen, get a hot water bottle or a heating pad and put it on your lower pelvic and abdomen area and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
This is a quick remedy for pain relief.
4. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
The apple cider vinegar contains properties that can help in shrinking and dissolving the ovarian cysts that appear due to potassium deficiency, because it contains high potassium content.
Fill a cup with warm water and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to it. Then also add 1 tablespoon of black strap molasses and drink the mix. Drink this mix twice a day until the cysts start to disappear.
One of the compounds that beetroot contains is a compound called betacyanin. It is known by many, that this compound helps the liver to better clear out toxins out of the body and balance acidity, reducing the chances of ovarian cysts.
To prepare this drink, mix 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel with 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses and add ½ cup of fresh beetroot juice. Drink this mix once a day before breakfast until your symptoms are gone.
6. EPSOM SALT BATH
The Epsom salt contains a high amount of magnesium sulfate which just like the water bottle, works as a muscle relaxant. Therefore, it can rapidly reduce the pain caused by ovarian cyst.
When taking a bath, put 1 cup of Epsom salt in the bathtub (make sure the water is warm). Then add from 5 to 10 drops of any oil such as jasmine, lavender or rose. Stir the water until it all mixes together then have a nice warm bath for about 20-30 minutes. Do this once a day and it will reduce your pain.

When suffering from ovarian cyst, it is important that your keep increasing your fluid intake so your body can better flush out the harmful toxins and stop any pain or cramps. Drink lots of water and avoid any sodas, coffee or alcohol.
10. DANDELION ROOT
The Dandelion root allows the body to easily flush out the excess toxins that might be causing the cysts because of its natural diuretic that cleanses the liver itself.
Pick some fresh dandelions and separate the flowers and stems from the root. Rinse the root with cool water. Then chop the root and put about 2 tablespoons of it in boiling water. When the water starts boiling, cover the pan and lower the heat. Let the dandelion root sit in the water for about 40 minutes, before straining it and drinking it.
