- Make small lifestyle changes
Start small. Don’t try to change your life in one day. Not only that will cause stress, but it will also be counterproductive. Start developing one healthy habit at a time instead. For example, start drinking smoothies instead of sodas, take the stairs instead of the elevator, replace the white bread with a whole-grain one, start drinking more water etc. It takes time to form a new habit, but at least that way you will make it last.
2. Don’t be afraid of weights
“I don’t want to lift weights, I will become bulky!” – you couldn’t be more wrong! It may be true for men, but you will be surprised how much time, dedication and food women need in order to grow their muscles! Lifting weights can help you build lean muscle while losing fat, and your body will be more tight and toned. Also, the muscles burn more calories, which means your metabolism will be much faster than before.
3. Stay active
All you need to do is spare 30 minutes of your daily time for exercising. You can do any physical activity you want, whether is jogging, swimming, cycling, working out at home etc. Just be active! But keep in mind that your body needs time to recover, so make sure you have 1-2 rest days per week.
