The question whether or not women should wear a bra while sleeping is as old as the bra itself. Many women wear bra during sleeping because they believe it prevents breast-sagging, others avoid bras because they fear it may cause marks and that it may clog the lymphatic glands which can lead to the development of breast cancer. Today we are going to finally answer the long-debated question and put an end to the long debate.
From a medical perspective, the lymph nodes in our body are designed to act as natural filters that drain the lymph fluid from the breast and therefore preventing cancer cells and other infections to develop.
Also from a medical perspective, the only thing that will surely cause breast sagging is pregnancy breastfeeding and age. Genetics also have a play in the extent of the sagging. If your breasts are above C-cup then we recommend a soft cup style which will be comfortable to wear but still provide a little bit of support from sagging. But keep in mind that the bra will not prevent sagging in the long term.
So there you have it. Sleeping with or without a bra is a personal matter of whether the woman finds it comfortable or not. Wearing a bra can cause rashes from moist below the breasts in some women, so if you’re wearing a bra while sleeping, be sure to wear a soft cotton wireless bra that will keep the moist away from your skin.
